youjuice owner Anita contacted us to rip out and re-fit an office space in central Brighton and turn it into a fresh & modern juice bar.
After a bit of demolition and strip out work, the Rocket Projects team installed the new café bar with its striking lime-green worktop, tying the interior in with the grey-green colour scheme. Contrasting this with pale grey wood panelling on the front of the bar, we produced a theme to compliment the natural, healthy juices being prepared.
We created a kitchen/juice-prep area with trough sink and wall-mounted rustic-feel shelving to make the most of the limited space. Dominating the shop is the huge youjuice refrigerator, which stores and presents the finished products, along with some more fresh produce – all of which reassuring customers of their juice’s natural, unadulterated beginnings.
Customer seating was added next to the window, consisting of a pale grey worktop, supported by recycled scaffolding poles, and three copper-effect bar stools. Illuminating this area are four industrial-style pendant lamps, made from glass bottles, with visible filaments which, along with the rustic shelving, provide a contrast to the sleek, modern design of the rest of the bar.
The original wooden window frames were painted a gloss-finish grey to link the exterior and interior and we replaced the tired wood-laminate floor with a stylish, easy-to-clean black vinyl. A series of recycled shopping baskets were hung from the wall to hold fresh fruit, veg and other ingredients.
