Vero Screening delivers a background screening service for employers, and is based in Brighton. They were expanding, so needed a space to grow, but due to being in the middle of a re-brand, they needed a simple fit out over two floors that gave them the opportunity to put their stamp on their workplace. With this in mind, a “blank canvas” refurbishment took shape allowing Vero Screening the opportunity to add further design elements in the future once they had completed their re-branding.
This fit out is just a chapter in Vero Screening’s story. They have experienced a fast pace of growth, and wanted to move to an office that would accommodate their growing staff and enable them to build on their successful foundation. Simplicity and functionality were key here, so Rocket Projects formulated a design to reflect that, while still including some stylish furniture for a splash of colour.
Glass partitioning was installed to create a separate spacious kitchen & breakout area, as well as being used to create private offices that needed a view out over the whole space. Clear silicone was used to connect the glass panels, resulting in a clean and sharp aesthetic.
A kitchen on the ground floor and matching tea point on the first floor were installed, along with modern breakout furniture. Comfortable & colourful armchairs & a sofa were added downstairs to cater for more relaxed meetings, or somewhere for guests to wait. Two types of flooring were laid – simple carpet for the main office space, and a dark grey oak laminate for the kitchen and tea-point.
Desks have been arranged on both floors, each with its own desk pedestal. Monitor arms were added to each desk so that monitors can be mounted, which ensures that DESE requirements are met, and employees are viewing their screen at the right height.
All the basics were covered too – a server room was constructed to deal with all Vero Screening’s data needs, the electrics & plumbing were carried out by our trusted contractors, and simple all-white decoration was the final flourish in this modest, functional project.
This was delivered by Rocket Projects with designs by our partners at Platform.
